A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for finding and ensuring equipment and driver availability, using them to the maximum efficiency by monitoring freight movement, communicating with drivers, and all other departments and parties connected with freight movement. Scott requires that all applicants have one of the following:

4-year college degree, preferably with a Business major.

2-year college degree, preferably with a Business major.
-
4 consecutive years of verifiable work experience with the same company.

6 consecutive years of verifiable work experience within the same industry with a maximum of 2 different companies.
Scott prefers previous experience in freight movement services and/or customer service for the position of Logistics Coordinator.

Strong numeric skills.

Excellent geographic knowledge.

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with dispatchers, truck drivers, and co-workers, including clarity of thought and explanation, as some will not use English as their first language.
