A Short History of Our Company

In 1995, Scott Logistics Corp opened their corporate office on East 8th Avenue in Rome, GA and became fully operational as a freight broker with two computers, two phone lines, and no money.  Due to continual growth, by 2002, the corporate office moved into a larger building on Rogers Drive, and in 2004, growth forced the company to purchase additional space on Chieftain Drive to accommodate the increasing number of customers, carriers, and employees.

Scott Logistics Corp has grown from zero revenue in 1995 to approximately $40 million in current annual revenue, with a projected increase of 40% by the end of 2007.  The company's growth is limited only to the amount of space, employees, phone lines, and computer technology available.  With that in mind, the company purchased approximately six acres in the Berry Corporate Center at the corner of Vail Drive and Technology Pkwy.  With an opening date of May 12, 2007, Scott Logistics Corp integrated three Rome, GA locations under one 24,000 square foot roof, with an expected staff of approximately 150 by January 2008.

The company is a 100% woman-owned business, certified by Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in 2004.  We are also an active member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) since 1997, an active participant in the Platinum Performance Program (3P), a "best practices" program for the industry, Georgia Motor Trucking Association, and Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce.
